Macroporous Adsorption Resin AB-8

HAL LAN ™ AB-8 Macroporous adsorbent resin is a styrene copolymer with weak polarity. It is suitable for extraction, separation and purification of water-soluble and weakly polar substances, such as stevioside, pueraria flavone, resveratrol, and pigment extraction.

Macroporous Adsorption Resin AB-8 Matters needing attention:
1. The resin contains about 70% water. Storage and transportation should maintain a temperature of 5-40oC to prevent the sphere from freezing and cracking at low temperature and mildew at high temperature, affecting the use.
2, resin due to exposure to the air or for some reason water loss, not direct water injection, so as to avoid floating resin, available ethanol impregnation treatment, make it wet, and then clean with water.
3. Industrial grade commercial resin must be pre-treated before use. The net product resin can be used directly.
Two, resin pretreatment:
Industrial grade resins all have residual inert solvents, so pretreatment of different depths should be carried out according to the application needs before use: in the extractor, ethanol 10-20 cm above the resin layer is added to soak for 3-4 hours, and then the washing liquid is put out, which is a single extraction process. Repeat washing in the same way until the outlet washing solution is not turbid after adding 3 times the amount of water in the test tube, and then fully wash with clean water until there is no obvious ethanol smell, it can be used for general use.
If the resin has been thoroughly treated, it may be used directly or in accordance with the three items in the preceding paragraph.
Iii. Intensive Regeneration:
When the resin is normally used for a certain period, the adsorption capacity is reduced or the acute serious pollution, the need to strengthen regeneration treatment, the method is to add 3-5% hydrochloric acid solution 10-20 cm higher than the resin layer after soaking 2-4 hours, with the same concentration of 5-7 times the volume of hydrochloric acid solution leaching, and then fully leaching with clean water, until the PH value of export washing solution is neutral. Then soak in 5% sodium hydroxide solution according to the above method for 2-4 hours, and rinse with the same method until 5-7 times the volume of sodium hydroxide solution, and then fully rinse with water until the PH value of the effluent is neutral, you can be put into use again.
